Consume Responsibly

Consumerism is certainly the elephant in the room. To shop sustainably or ethically seems so much like a paradox these days, it may feel difficult to trust where you shop.

Expansive Experience is, as of today, operated by one person.

Hi :)

My name is Maria, I’m the founder, creative, social media manager, photographer, customer service manager, and human behind this experience. Transparency is vital to my human experience, and I bring forward the honesty you deserve as someone about to make a financial investment into my art.

I would like to leave a deliberate footprint life. One of intention and consideration, while also free and unscripted. Sometimes, we stampede through life. It’s when we kiss the ground with our bare feet that we feel a deep respect and nurturing our planet. A planet that is just as alive as we are.

My handmade items are all crafted by me. I strive, with every new project, to find more sustainable ways to come by the materials I use. Admittedly, some of my products contain materials ordered through Amazon, which I acknowledge as contributing to an environment that can lack sustainability. As I grow, I aim to refine those choices and become as mindful as possible to create for us.

I have educated myself in aromatherapy to understand the science behind their therapeutic properties and to provide you a product I can stand behind, and I have a course in herbalism lined up in my near future to deepen my relationship with what I create.

The Wearable Art portion of my website is supported by Printful; a third party printing and shipping company whose objective is to provide quality clothing at minimal environmental impact.

Seeing as 85% of all textiles produced by the fashion industry end up in landfills, making it a major contributor to environmental damage, Printful only produces items they get an order for, avoiding textile waste from overproduction. Our printing partner's high-quality printing tech creates almost no wastewaters and uses less energy than standard industry printers.

Their clothing is printed with the direct-to-garment (DTG) printing method. The inks they use for printing are vegan, water-based, and free of harmful chemicals.

Monetizing on my art is a strand and exciting experience. I hope to do my best to give you charms and trinkets you can cherish as long as you’re able to.

With love,

Maria
